martes: Mexicanisms TPR Story Share. Mexicanisms quiz. miercoles: Begin colors unit. This will be a very quick unit, meaning there will be a quiz on colors coming soon ... potentially as early as Friday at the end of class. Today, start with the colors page, front and back, in your packet. jueves: Work on yesterday's assignment until finished. Then start on the following: Create your own color-by-number! Use all eleven of the Spanish colors included in your packet. Include a key on the back -- each color should be listed, next to a number range. Everything should be written in Spanish. Indicate the color you want each part of your design to be colored by placing a number in that part of the design, again in Spanish. viernes: Continue to work on the color by number you are creating. Exchange with a partner, color according to their instructions, and return to them. Make sure your name is on your own design. lunes: Numbers final practice session and quiz.

Also contains alphabet/pronunciation review and colors introduction. We have been working on counting to twenty for a while now and you should be able to do it without notes. Once you get to twenty, count by tens up to 100. Time yourself and get faster and faster to build fluency and commit your learning to long term memory.

First, practice numbers until you can count to 20 and then to 100 by tens, without notes, and practice letters until you can recite the entire alphabet in order, without notes. PARENTS: If you want to know if your student is on track, please have them recite the alphabet and count to 20 by ones and to 100 by tens! miercoles: Numbers practice, Alphabet practice, and continue practicing both through your Battleship game. jueves: NOTE: As discussed with students in class, grades will be posted as soon as we take the numbers quiz. Numbers quiz will take place on Monday, April 17. Grades for both the numbers quiz and alphabet quiz will be posted at that time. Study your numbers this weekend! lunes: Quiz on alfabeto. Begin numbers unit. Taking notes and identifying patterns.
martes: Go over patterns in numbers 0-100. Begin making numbers flashcards. miercoles: Finish numbers flashcards and begin making a math worksheet for a classmate to solve. You should write 12 total problems, 3 of each operation. You will need to look up the words for plus, minus, times, and divided by. No numbers above 100, including the solution to the problem. All problems should be written completely as Spanish words, no numerical numbers. For example, use doce; do NOT use 12. jueves: Finish work from yesterday. Exchange math problems sheet you created and solve your partner's problems. Practice until you can count to 20 without notes. Begin timing a partner on their fluency: how quickly can you count to 20? |
